Colleen Quint's Effective Leadership for Maine

Dear Fellow Residents of District 17:

Maine needs leaders who know how to get things done. Effective leaders get things done in a way that people can get behind.  That means listening to all sides of an issue, being open to new information, and working with people of different viewpoints.  Real problems need real solutions – and real solutions require working together.

Senate District 17
I hope to earn the support of the voters in Senate District 17 and to represent the good people of the towns of Mechanic Falls, Minot, Turner, Livermore, Livermore Falls, Leeds, Greene, Wales, Sabattus and Lisbon in the Maine State Senate.

Why I’m Running
Here’s why I hope you will trust me with your vote:

  • I care deeply about Maine and about these small, rural towns where we live and work and raise our families.  I will work to preserve strong communities, to protect high quality public education, and to create jobs.
  • Kids ought to grow up with the kind of foundation that gives them a fair chance.  Working families should be able to do more than just get by.  And our seniors deserve economic security.
  • I will fight for you – and for our communities – in Augusta.

For the last 25 years I’ve worked hard to give back to my community in Minot.  And for the last 13 years I’ve done my best to help young people across the state – and to have a positive impact on the state as a whole – through my work at the Mitchell Institute.

Now I hope to bring that kind of thoughtful and effective leadership to Augusta to work for you.
